September activity report
A tiny MacBook moves in, WiFi stops shooting itself in the foot, and the graphics chip finally gets a job
Its own kernel. Its own C library and cross toolchain. Its own desktop, its own package manager, its own installer. AnotherOS is not a Linux distribution and not a Linux fork — it exposes the Linux syscall ABI faithfully enough that unmodified GTK, Qt and WebKit run on it, and everything below that line is original.
Own everything
The kernel is original: long mode, four-level paging, SMP, a MuQSS scheduler with LAPIC preemption, demand paging, copy-on-write fork, an OOM killer, and a TCP/IP stack with real congestion control. Linux drivers are ported through a LinuxKPI compatibility layer — the kernel around them is not.
Fasadas
Fasadas is the compositor and window server; Kvarcas is the 2D engine beneath it; Plintusas is the dock. Windows, menus and controls are drawn by one theme — Vanduo — so a checkbox in one application cannot drift from a checkbox in another. Buffers move between client and compositor by memfd, zero-copy.

The Linux ABI, honestly implemented
Because the syscall interface is faithful, the software stack is the real one: musl, BusyBox, bash, GTK3, Qt6, WebKitGTK, Mesa. Firefox has been ported and opens TLS connections over the system's own TCP stack. The package tree is 128 ports deep.
/Apps/<Name>/<Version>apkg installs atomically and rolls back by flipping a symlink farm
On real machines
Not only in QEMU. A Dell Lynx Point laptop, a MacBookPro8,3 that netboots over BSDP, an Acer AO722, a Panasonic CF-H2 tablet — with hardware acceleration, working networking, and kernel panics photographed honestly along the way.

Six weeks of build logs, screenshots and kernel panics finally have somewhere to live.
